Home Energy Rating presents a home owner who wants to upgrade the home’s energy efficiency an evaluation of pinpoint specific, cost effective improvements.
Green Coast Living offers on site inspections of homes by a residential energy efficiency professional. The home energy rater inspects the home, measures it’s energy characteristics, and then enters the data into a computer program which translates the gathered information into points ranging from 1 to 100, depending on it’s relative efficiency. An estimate of the home’s energy cost is also provided. The home’s energy rating is then equated to a Star rating ranging from 1 Star for a very inefficient home to a 5 Star for a highly efficient home. Along with the rating sheet, a home owner receives a report listing cost effective options for improving the home’s energy rating.
